Privacy Policy
Your trust matters. Here's how we handle your personal information at Reggie's Recovery Center.
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Reggie's Recovery Center ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of every person who contacts us, visits our website, or receives care at our facility. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
When you contact us through our website forms, by phone, or by SMS, we may collect:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Insurance provider and member ID (for verification purposes)
- Information about your situation that you choose to share
- Records of consent (including SMS / TCPA opt-in choices)
- Technical data such as IP address and browser type when you visit our website
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your inquiry and provide admissions support
- Verify your insurance benefits
- Send appointment reminders and care-related updates (only if you've opted in)
- Improve our website and services
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
3. SMS / Text Messaging Consent (TCPA)
By checking the SMS consent box on any of our forms, you agree to receive text messages from Reggie's Recovery Center at the phone number you provided. These messages may include:
- Admissions follow-up communication
- Appointment reminders
- Care-related updates
Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier and plan. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of treatment and you may decline without affecting your ability to receive care.
To opt out: Reply STOP to any text message from us at any time. To request help, reply HELP. You may also email us at any time to request removal from our SMS list.
We maintain records of consent (including the date, time, and IP address) for compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
4. Protected Health Information (HIPAA)
Once you become a client of Reggie's Recovery Center, any health information collected during your treatment is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and, where applicable, 42 CFR Part 2 (Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder Patient Records). We will provide you with our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices upon admission.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:
- With your insurance provider to verify and process benefits (with your authorization)
- With service providers who help us operate our website and communications (under strict confidentiality agreements)
- When required by law, court order, or to protect safety
- With your explicit written consent for any other purpose
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to call us directly at (866) 401-8229 for any sensitive matters.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of marketing or SMS communications at any time
- Withdraw consent for any optional processing
8. Cookies & Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve performance. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may not function properly.
9. Insurance Decoder Tool
Our website offers a free Insurance Decoder at /insurance-decoder that explains your insurance plan in plain English. We designed it to be private by default:
- Anonymous use. When you paste your plan details or upload your Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC), the document is analyzed in memory to generate your explanation and is then immediately discarded. It is never written to disk, saved to a database, stored in our logs, or recorded in analytics.
- Retention only with your consent. The only time we keep your uploaded document is if you choose to request a free benefits verification and check the box asking us to keep it so our team can verify your benefits faster. If that box is unchecked, your document is not transmitted with the form.
- No plan details in links or analytics. We never place plan details, member IDs, or document contents in web addresses, query strings, or analytics events. Our analytics may record only that a page was viewed and that a decode or verification was started or completed — never the contents of your plan.
- Error safety. If a technical error occurs while analyzing your plan, the contents of your submission are excluded from any error report.
The Insurance Decoder provides general educational information about how insurance plans are structured. It is not insurance advice, a coverage determination, or a guarantee of benefits, and Reggie's Recovery Center is not affiliated with any insurance carrier.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 without parental consent.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
